Investiture 2012: A Day of Celebration, A Week of Service

On October 12, California State University, East Bay will celebrate the investiture of Dr. Leroy M. Morishita as the fifth president in the University's 55-year history, in conjunction with two long-standing annual events — Faculty Honors Convocation and al Fresco. The entire University community is invited to attend.

Service to our Community — October 5-11

In honor of the Presidential Investiture, the University community will also observe a week of community service prior to the ceremony. 

• Oct. 5, Friends of Hayward Library
• Oct. 6, Harder Elementary School clean-up and beautification
• Oct. 7, Harder Road clean-up
• Oct. 8, wildlife care 
• Oct. 11, convalescent home visits
