Planning for Distinction
In 2012 President Morishita asked the campus community, led by Provost Houpis and Chief Financial Officer Wells, to engage a comprehensive review of all campus programs and activities. The objective of this planning effort was to maintain the hallmarks of quality at CSU East Bay and to pursue initiatives the campus believes are most essential to the campus mission and strategic commitments, and the institutional learning objectives. The work of the two task groups and the steering committee, which was completed in spring 2014 provide direction for the University to ensure we continue to provide “academically rich, culturally relevant, learning experiences that prepare students to apply their education to meaningful lifework, and to be socially responsible contributors to society.”
The reports, recommendations and observations from the three groups have now been delivered to the two sponsors, for discussion with the President’s cabinet. The following live links will take you to the reports from the Support Program Task Group, the Instructional Program Task Group, and the Steering Committee. Recommendations related to academic programs will be forwarded to the college deans and the Academic Senate for distribution as the deem appropriate.
