Strategic Priorities and Performance Measures

The Strategic Planning Summary 2008 (pdf) outlines the University's strateagic plans and priorities. Data performance measures permit evidence-based decision making to achieve Cal State East Bay’s desired outcomes. We distinguish our academic quality through the following measures:

Student Access and Success

We monitor student access and success by the following measures:

  • Augmenting enrollment for students of diverse backgrounds
  • Increasing retention and graduation rates
  • Expanding access to instructional resources and support services
  • Enhancing student satisfaction

Inclusive Campus Climate

We strengthen our learning communities by the following activities:

  • Broadening student engagement
  • Increasing faculty and staff satisfaction and reducing unintended turnover

Vibrant University Villages

We enliven our campuses by the following measures:

  • Expanding programs and activities beyond the classroom and laboratory
  • Enhancing indoor and outdoor space for teaching and learning
  • Enriching opportunities for social networking among students and faculty

Regional Stewardship

We express our regional leadership with the following endeavors:

  • Understanding the social, economic, and political dynamics of the East Bay
