Campus Tours

Daily Tours at the Hayward Campus Welcome Center

Join other prospective students on our individual campus tour! Walking tours of the campus depart from the Welcome Center Monday - Friday at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Individual tours are for groups of individuals and/or families interested in attending our university. Individual tours are led by a Student Ambassador, and visit academic facilities, campus landmarks, and residence halls. Tours typically take 45 - 60 minutes. Please wear comfortable shoes. Reservations are requested; however, walk-ins are welcome. Make a reservation today!

(Please note that the online reservation form is not for large groups from schools or other organizations. Group tours are scheduled several times per week at 10:00 am. Reservations are made by calling 510-885-2556 or by sending an e-mail to tours@csueastbay.edu.)

Saturday Tours

Saturday tour programs at the Hayward Campus are available on select Saturdays. Register online for a Saturday tour.

Daily Tours at Concord Campus

Walking tours of the campus depart from the Transfer Center located in the Academic Services Building every fourth Wednesday of the month at 4 p.m. Tours are led by a student ambassador, and visit academic facilities and campus landmarks. Tours typically take 45-60 minutes. Please wear comfortable shoes. Reservations are requested; however, walk-ins are welcome.

Group Tours

Student groups are welcome to visit and tour our campuses. Advance reservations are required so that we may accommodate your tour group.

Hayward Campus Group Tours

If you are a high school, community college or early outreach counselor interested in scheduling a group tour, you may contact (510) 885-2556 or send an e-mail to tours@csueastbay.edu to learn more about the tour program and to make a reservation. Group tours are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis, and reservations are required.

Transportation and Parking

After a reservation has been confirmed an e-mail notice will be sent including a map with directions to the University, parking information, and bus driver guidelines. Cal State East Bay is also accessible by public transportation via BART and AC Transit systems.

Parking Near the Welcome Center

To park near the Welcome Center it is recommended that you make and appointment for a guided tour for individuals and groups interested in visiting the Hayward Campus. After a tour reservation has been confirmed, an e-mail notice will be sent including a map with directions to the University, parking information, and bus driver guidelines if applicable. Cal State East Bay is also accessible by public transportation, with area buses serving the Hayward and Castro Valley BART stations. Please note that parking is strictly enforced on the Hayward Campus. All Welcome Center visitors must pick up a parking pass inside the Welcome Center to display on their car.

Traffic Rerouted for Campus Construction Beginning May 15:

As a part of the Warren Hall Demolition Project, the connector bridge between Warren Hall and the Library Building is slated to be dismantled. During the demolition process, West Loop Road will not be open to thru traffic. However, Parking Lots A and B will be accessible.

During this construction period, AC Transit buses will be re-routed and the only AC Translt Line 60 bus stop is located east of the Student Administration Building will remain operational. The shuttle buses to BART stations will also be re-routed. The BART shuttle bus will make one stop at the Harder Road bus stop adjacent to the Recreation & Wellness Center.
