Welcome Cal State East Bay "Pioneer" Alums and Friends
Academic Advising and Career Education (AACE) is proud to provide services to alumni! All graduates are welcome to use our services for free, during the quarter immediately following graduation. If you will be continuing your education at CSUEB, your services will continue for free as long as you are a regularly matriculated student.
For a nominal annual fee, alumni can have access to all career education services that AACE provides. The annual fee is prorated on a monthly basis, and includes unlimited access to career counseling, the CBAY jobs database, job fairs, and workshops.
Eligibility
Individuals in the following groups are eligible for career education services after paying the applicable fees:
- Alumni of CSUEB who have earned at least a bachelor's degree and are in good standing with the University (remember, the first quarter immediately following graduation is free!)
- Alumni of any other CSU who have earned at least a bachelor's degree
- Individuals enrolled in the Americal Language Program (ALP)
- Individuals enrolled in a class through CSUEB's Continuing Education Program
- Individuals enrolled in Open University
If interested in our services, the Alumni Registration Form will provide detailed information about eligibility and costs.
Services
AACE offers career counseling and career assessments to assist you in your career exploration and job search process. You must meet with a career counselor prior to taking an assessment. You will be given log-in information as well as a follow-up appointment for interpretation. The assessments offered requiring interpretation are the Strong Interest Inventory (SII) and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).
Access to CBAY will allow you to browse all job and internship postings on our campus. In addition, you view and sign-up for upcoming workshops and get up-to-date information on our quarterly Job and Internship Fairs.
From critiquing resumes and cover letters to career exploration and grad school applications, our trained counselors are here to help. For appointment information, please call the receptionist at 510.885.3621.
Job Fairs[5]
AACE hosts three on-campus Job fairs each year and registered alumni are granted complimentary access to all three events.
On-Campus Interviewing[6]
On-Campus Interviews (OCI) provide you the opportunity to interview with employers on campus, in the AACE office.
