Student Service Operation for Success
Program SSOS: Student Service Operation for Success aims to provide a full range of academic support services, counseling and cultural activities to promote success for Asian American and Pacific Islander students in college and career readiness at California State University, East Bay.
Student Services and Support
The program’s services include academic support to increase successful outcomes, foster personal development, enhance social networking, and to create paths for students to reach graduation and realize their career goals. Additionally the project will collect AAPI disaggregated (individual) data to provide a greater understanding of this unique student population.
Program SSOS is funded by a federal grant from the U.S. Department of Education Asian American and Pacific Islander Serving Institution (AANAPISI). The program was established to promote educational support for students who are historically underserved in higher education. Project SSOS was established in 2011 in cooperation with the Academic Support programs at Cal State East Bay to provide support services for students of Asian American and Pacific Islander heritage. The program is expected to serve students for a four year period.
