Program Fees

The program fees are based on student need as determined by the CLP.  Please note: these fees cover the Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters.  Summer quarter fees differ.  These proposed fees have not yet been officially approved by the CSUEB fee committee; however these figures provide a projected estimate of the costs for the 2011-2012 CLP for family financial planning.

As a reminder, these support services are in addition to your legally-mandated accommodations as determined by the Accessibility Services counselors. These accommodations may include additional testing time, use of assistive technology, and in-class note-takers.  Students in the College Link Program are also enrolled in Project IMPACT, a federal grant program that services students with disabilities that provides support services such as individual tutoring and assistive technology training, and a staffed computer lab to complete coursework.

On-Campus Resident Housing

Due to the significant issues that many student with ASD experience with the transition from high school to college,  CLP does not recommend that freshmen live on campus their first year.   However, for sophomores, juniors and seniors CLP recommends that students register for single rooms while they are developing peer relationships in college.   Sharing a room is not recommended for CLP students during this transition time.  For those students continuing in CLP for their sophomore year for 2011-2012, the College Link Program will provide Independent Living Skills Coaching in campus housing at no cost to families for Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters.   Students will receive two hours per day of individualized skill development, Monday through Friday and five hours per week of social/group coaching which will focus on group living skills and peer relationships.  To ensure that all CLP students living in housing receive the same comprehensive services in the 2011-2012 year, CLP participants will share a CSUEB apartment.

External Funding Sources

CLP will continue to seek financial assistance for our program to offset the coaching fees and currently have grant applications pending.  We will be sure to keep families updated as funding is awarded.
