Welcome to the College Link Program!

Dear Incoming Students and Families,

First, let us start off by welcoming you to California State University, East Bay. Your decision to attend our institution was probably one of the biggest (and best) you’ve made thus far. We at the College Link Program are here to support you in your efforts, every step of the way.

The College Link Program (CLP) was piloted in the 2010-2011 academic year. Our mission is simple: “to help students who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder to transition and succeed in the higher education environment.” Our goal is to assist students in leveraging their individual strengths to facilitate academic and social success. The CLP staff fosters student educational, career, social and independent living skills through creative and flexible approaches to individual needs. The College Link Program philosophy is to increase student independence and decrease dependence on familial and coaching support over the course of the student’s educational career.

Please take the time to look over the information provided here. After you are officially admitted to the university and you feel that you may benefit from the services we provide, your first step is to register and make an appointment with Accessibility Services for academic accommodations. You may make an appointment by calling their office at 510-885-3868 during normal business hours. For more information about Accessibility Services, please visit their website: http://www.csueastbay.edu/as .

Again, welcome to CSU East Bay and best of luck in your first year!
