Do I need tickets to attend the ceremony?

 

NO

YES, everyone needs a ticket.

Do I need a parking permit to park in accessible parking?

You must have a DMV placard/license plate to park in Accessible Parking, but you do NOT need a special commencement parking permit

YES, you must have a special commencement parking permit and a DMV parking placard/license plate.

You must have a DMV placard/license plate, but you do NOT need a special commencement parking permit.

Does the graduating student also need a special commencement parking permit?  

NO

YES, every car coming onto campus MUST have a special commencement parking permit.

Where is accessible parking?

 

Parking lot A

Parking lot A and B for stadium viewing.   If they plan to view the ceremony in the theater, use parking lot K.   If they plan to view the ceremony in VBT, use parking lot G.  If they plan to view the ceremony from the UU Multipurpose Room, use parking lot B.

Accessible parking will be available at Boatwright Field. Only use the entrance at Pine Hollow Road.

Where is the ADA seating area?

 

It is under a tent on the stadium floor.

It is under a tent in the general seating area.

Can my family/friends sit with me in the ADA tent area?

Only ONE person can accompany you as your assistant.  The rest of your group must sit in the general seating area.    *The ADA seating area is ‘first come, first serve’ and it fills up very quickly – often more than one hour prior to the ceremony beginning.  If you plan to sit in the ADA seating area, we highly recommend you arrive very early.  

Where do I sit if the ADA seating is full?

There are limited wheelchair seating areas at the top of the stadium.

The ceremony will be streaming live indoors with air conditioning at the theater, University Union, and VBT 124.

General seating area, if available.  All seating fills up quickly – please plan to arrive as early as possible.

How will I get from the parking lot to the ADA seating area?

 

We will have shuttle buses taking people from parking lot A down to the field level for ADA seating only.

We will have shuttle buses taking people from parking lots A and B to the field level for ADA seating only.

We will have golf carts to assist people from the shuttle drop-off areas to the ADA seating area.

Are the restrooms near the ADA seating area?

Yes.

The restrooms are across the road – approximately 200 yards away.  A golf cart will be available to assist with if necessary.
