Each job will require its own set of health and safety training. An employee must receive health and safety training at time of hire, when transferred to a new assignment having a new hazard or exposure, or whenever a new hazard or exposure is introduced into the workplace. It is the supervisor's responsibility to contact EHS to verify what training an employee may need to complete.
New Employee Training Checklist outlines initial information and training a new employee needs to complete within the first 30 days of employment.
Casual Workers, Special Consultants and other employees who do not have a NetID are required to read and sign the Safety Orientation documents below when meeting with Human Resources to complete paperwork for new employees, in lieu of completing the courses outline on the New Employee Training Checklist.

SkillSoft is supplemental training provided through the Chancellor’s Office. Campus employees are welcome to complete any class that interests them. Be aware however that CSUEB EHS has not reviewed the classes and may not provide credit for completing a class.
