Community Policing Advisory Board

CPAB word mark

Last updated on February 6, 2014

The Community Policing Advisory Board (CPAB) is a university advisory committee that provides a feedback loop to the University Police Department (UPD). We are comprised of  students, student government, staff, faculty, and administrators from Cal State East Bay. Local law enforcement and other civic groups frequently attend our meetings as guests. CPAB is committed to being an active and collaborative partner to safety, security, and emergency preparedness efforts.

Get Involved

CPAB is open to all who share our commitments to safety and security. We hold quarterly meetings throughout campus and invite you to join us at a meeting or CPAB related activity.

One example of a CPAB-related, ongoing activity is the Campus Community Watch Program (CCW). Modeled after the national program, "Neighborhood Watch", CCW was created by CPAB members and aims to encourage all campus members to report any suspicious activity to UPD. It is our hope that CCW volunteers are on every floor in every building. Other CPAB activities will be posted on this webpage.
