Novella Carpenter, urban farmer and writer, to speak at CSUEB May 28The author of “Farm City: The Education of an Urban Farmer” will discuss the history of American sustainability practices for the 2013 History Spring Speaker program on the Hayward Campus.
Concert honoring longtime CSUEB professor set May 23Admission is free to the concert, which will be held in the Recital Hall (room 1055) of the Music Building on the Hayward Campus.
Entrepreneur, philanthropist Kumar Malavalli to be presented Honorary Doctorate by Cal State East BayCEO of InMage Systems and pioneer of storage network technology Malavalli will be recognized at the university's graduate commencement ceremony June 14.

Cal State East Bay Alumni Association hosts a networking event Thursday, May 30 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Hilton Pleasanton at The Club ; a brief University update will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Alumni are invited to share career advice and post-graduation tips with CSUEB transfer students at a mixer from 5 to 7 pm, Wednesday, May 22, in the Bay View Room, New University Union, on the Hayward Campus.
