President’s Message

To my fellow colleagues, peers, and inspirations:
WELCOME TO THE 2009-2010 YEAR AT CAL STATE EAST BAY! Your leadership and initiative taken for electing your current ASI officers is duly noted and appreciated as it is you, the students who direct this board of elected students in all matters working towards the betterment of education, student life, and the college experience at CSUEB. The ASI is the official representative voice of every student on this diverse and viable campus.
It is the duty of all student representatives to exhaust all possible options towards alleviating all concerns of the constituents of this corporation, the students. Feel free to stop by the office (UU 314) during operating hours for officers’ contact information, any questions/concerns, or simply just to chat. We are at your dispense!
Special attention shall be given to issues with specific interest to students and the California State University system, such as the cost of tuition and system wide policies. The ASI is also committed to advocating for the current and future California State University, East Bay students to preserve the promise of the California Master Plan of Higher Education, whereby quality, affordability, and accessible higher education is provided for all Californians.
I encourage you to get involved in the representative process and apply for ASI committees this year. As students, we are all training to be the leaders of tomorrow, but we start today!
“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.”
