Masters of Arts in Economics
The Master in Economics program at California State University, East Bay equips students with marketable skills and enriches them intellectually by providing rigorous training in microeconomic theory, econometrics, and macroeconomic theory, as well as in fields such as labor economics, industrial organization, public economics, and international economics. Students also conduct empirical research and present it both orally and in writing. Our evening program allows students to combine work with study. Our graduates choose careers in economics, business, public policy, education, or they continue studying at the Ph.D. level in economics or other social sciences. The Department’s internationally diverse faculty were trained in some of the world’s leading universities and are active researchers in their fields of expertise.
