Welcome to the Department of Management!

Management is one of the four departments in the College of Business and Economics at CSUEB. The department is staffed by more than twenty full-time faculty. The faculty belong to one or more of the following area groups: Human Resources Management & Organizational Behavior, Information Technology Management, Operations & Supply Chain Management, and Strategic Management & International Business.

Our well-qualified faculty hold Ph.D.s from leading institutions across the country, including such top-tier schools as University of California-Berkeley and Stanford University. In keeping with the mission of CSUEB, our primary duty is teaching. Our faculty also maintain strong currency in their respective fields through an active program of applied and basic research.

The department is responsible for the following options in the business curriculum:

Undergraduate Program: (i) Corporate Management (ii) Human Resources Management (iii) Information Technology Management (iv) Operations and Enterprise Resource Management and (v) Supply Chain Management.

MBA Program: (i) Human Resources and Organizational Behavior (ii) Information Technology Management (iii) Operations and Supply Chain Management and (iv) Strategy and International Business.

Career opportunities for students specializing in these options depend on the nature of these options themselves. For example, students specializing in Human Resources typically find themselves in jobs in the HR department of a company. On the other hand, information technology management graduates find career opportunities in either IT firms or IT management jobs within other institutions. Past and present employers of these students include almost every major firm in the Bay Area.
