How do I apply?

To apply for the MSA program, students should apply through CSU Mentor and supply official transcripts and scores as appropriate. Also send an e-mail to msaccountancy@csueastbay.edu.

What is the cost of tuition for the MSA program?

$24,975 excluding foundation courses

Is financial aid available?

You can apply for financial aid from CSUEB.

Will the tuition for the program change while I am in it?

No. The program tuition is set at the beginning of the program and is not subject to the increases you might experience in other programs.

Tuition fees for subsequent cohorts are subject to change.

Does the MSA degree come with any option?

No.

Can I obtain credit for courses taken in other programs or at other schools?

No. This is a cohort program and you must take all of the courses.

My undergraduate degree is not in Accounting, can I enroll in the program?

Yes. If you have not completed the four foundation courses, you have to complete the foundation courses you need during the Summer quarter before the program starts in the Fall quarter.

My undergraduate degree is not in Business, can I enroll in the program?

Yes. If you have not completed the four foundation courses, you have to complete the foundation courses you need during the Summer quarter before the program starts in the Fall quarter.

Can I work full time while enrolled in this program?

Yes, classes meet on Friday evening from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm and 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday. Foundation courses will be held on Monday and Wednesday evening from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm.

What are the admission requirements?

Undergraduate degree. GMAT required. TOEFL for international students. And an interview.

I have not taken the GMAT yet, can I enroll in the class now and take the GMAT later?

No. You should take the GMAT first before you apply to the MSA program. Find a test center close to you here.

What is the course schedule?

Three MSA program courses are offered each week during the quarter. One course is held on Friday evening from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Two courses are held on Saturday from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm. Foundation courses will be held on Monday and Wednesday from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm.

Is the cost of books included?

No.

Are there any classes offered online?

No.

How many school terms are there and how long is each school term?

The MSA program is offered on a quarter base. There are four quarters each year, and each quarter is 11 weeks long.

If I have to miss some classes for one quarter, what will happen?

You can come back to take the missed courses with another cohort the next year, and complete your degree.

Where are classes held?

All classes are held at the Hayward Hills Campus. 

What types of jobs are available for MSA graduates?

The MSA program will provide graduates opportunities to pursue a wide range of professional accounting careers in public accounting firms, corporations, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations.
