About Us
Credential Student Service Center (CSSC) provides a range of services to those pursuing credentials, including:
- Advisement regarding credential requirements in all programs;
- Initial screening for credential program requirements;
- Housing of student records;
- Monitoring of progress towards credentials;
- Verification of credential program completion;
- Making the official credential recommendation to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).
Our Mission
To provide accurate and responsive credential information to students and the education community through personalized and efficient services.
Purpose
The purpose of CSSC is to provide client-centered, centralized service and credential advising. CSSC serves as a resource center for departments offering credential programs. It provides student accessibility to accurate information on admissions and credential requirements, assists faculty and departments in advisement, and monitors student progress. CSSC generates reports and responds to both internal and external requests for data.
All CSUEB credential programs are accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.
