Students in the ELSJ doctoral program engage in a rigorous curriculum and scholarly research in a supportive professional learning community that deepens the development of bold, socially responsible school leaders. Through a cohort model, students have the opportunity to learn from and work with nationally acclaimed, interdisciplinary faculty and exemplary practicing administrators who have a deep understanding and commitment to Social Justice and Equity.
The ELSJ seeks candidates who have educational leadership experience in PK-12, alternative education, or other agency settings that serve PK-14 students.
Acknowledging that candidates are full time education p rofessionals, the program has been creatively designed and flexible scheduling is one of its hallmarks. The ELSJ program is structured to allow candidates to complete coursework and dissertation within three years.
