Welcome to the Community Counseling Clinic

The Clinic was established 30 years ago as a professional training center.  The training facility was developed for graduate level professionals in the Marriage Family Therapy (MFT) program.

The Clinic offers low cost, strength-based counseling services designed to help individuals and families in our community live more satisfying lives

Fees are established by the client and counselor during the first session. Fees are set on a sliding scale, taking into account each clients financial situation. Fees are obtained for each session. One visit per week is typical for each client, whether seen individually or as part of a couple or family.

Parent incentives are also available for those parents who cannot afford services. Special rates apply for clients in the Hayward Promise Neighborhoods community members call for more details.

The Community Counseling Clinic offers counseling services to individuals, couples, and families. New clients must undergo a 1-2 week screening process in order to ensure the CCC can provide services that are in the best interest of the client.

Step 1: Phone Screening      Step 2: Intake Interview      Step 3: Review
Step 4: Approval                   Step 5: Appointment

Clients are informed of their rights, our confidentiality and privacy practices, and its limitation during the first counseling session. Any and all client related information will not be released without the written consent of the client, except where specific disclosure is mandated by the law.

Counseling Services

The CCC is not a medical clinic; therefore, we cannot provide our clients medications or a mental health diagnoses. Those persons for whom the CCC cannot provide help are referred to other community resources appropriate to their needs. The CCC does not currently offer counseling services to CSU, East Bay students. We currently do not offer childcare services.

The Community Counseling Clinic is dedicated to psychotherapy excellence for low-income families, through a modern, family-systems approach. By working with several local agencies and applying for Federal and State Grants the CCC is able to bring quality counseling services to our local community members who otherwise may not be able to find low-cost service.
