CSUEB courses for Clinical/Child School Psychology (CCSP)

  1. STAT 1000 (Elements of Probability and Statistics)
  2. PSYC 3200 (Psychological Tests)
  3. PSYC 4210 (Theories of Learning)
  4. PSYC 4410 (Abnormal Psychology)
  5. PSYC 4420 (Developmental Psychology)

PSYC 4610 (Psychology of Personality) is no longer required for the School of Psychology

CSUEB courses for School Counseling

  1. STAT 1000 (Elements of Probability and Statistics)
  2. PSYC 4410 (Abnormal Psychology)

Candidates must also complete one of the following courses:

  1. PSYC 4210 (Theories of Learning)
  2. PSYC 4420 (Developmental Psychology)
  3. PSYC 4610 (Psychology of Personality)

CSUEB courses for Marriage and Family Therapy

  1. STAT 1000 (Elements of Probability and Statistics)
  2. PSYC 4210 (Theories of Learning)
  3. PSYC 4410 (Abnormal Psychology)
  4. PSYC 4420 (Developmental Psychology)
  5. PSYC 4610 (Personality Theory or Development)

*If you have your Bachelor's Degree in either Psychology or Human Development ONLY Stat 1000 is required for the Marriage and Family Therapy Program ONLY.*

You are welcome to take these classes at your local Junior College or another accredited University. Please refer to the course descriptions for the CSU East Bay Courses listed below. If the course you are taking does not include the same content and title it may not be an acceptable equivalent. If you have questions about a course meeting our requirements please email the course description to the coordinator of the program you are applying to for approval.
