How to Apply

There are three steps to applying to the MS Ed OTL program:

  1. Fill out the Graduate Application on CSU Mentor
  2. Submit your transcripts directly to the Office of Admissions
  3. Send your Letter of Intent to Dr. Anne Guptill, Program Director

1. Fill out the Graduate Application on CSU Mentor

  • Apply for our program on the CSU Mentor website
  • Choose Hayward campus as the Main Campus/Off-campus Center
  • Select Education MS – Online Teach & Learn – ONLINE – Spec Sess as your Major/Program Objective
  • Do not select Credential since we are not a credentialing program

2. Submit your transcripts directly to the Office of Admissions

Send your transcripts as quickly as possible to:

  • Send transcripts from all schools you have attended since high school
  • They must arrive at Enrollment Services by the document deadline date
  • There is no guarantee that your application will be processed for the quarter you applied for if your transcripts arrive after the document deadline
  • Please note that it can take up to 3-4 weeks for Admissions to receive your transcript so plan accordingly

3. Send your Letter of Intent to Dr. Anne Guptill, Program Director

You must send a Letter of Intent directly to our Program Director, Dr. Anne Guptill and must include:

  • Why you'd like to be in our program
  • Your future goals (as it relates to the degree)
  • Any relevant teaching and/or training background
