At Cal State East Bay, we have a new federal grant (2008-2012) to assist potential Education Specialists of students with moderate-severe disabilities through stipends as well as mentoring during your studies with this post-Bachelor’s degree teacher preparation program! In our unique 6-quarter sequence, you can obtain both the general ed. Multiple Subjects credential as well as the Education Specialist in M-S disabilities. Our innovative, field-based credential program leading to both the Multiple Subjects & Ed Specialist: Moderate-Severe Disabilities credentials is unique in the Bay Area, and our graduates are in high demand throughout the nine- county region, as well as anywhere else they go! You are also eligible if you already possess a CA Multiple or Single Subjects credential!
Grant Supports
You will be provided with an $6000 stipend for the first year of the program, with $2000 in the second year. Mentoring will also be provided by more advanced students and Master Teachers as you progress through the program.
