The Department of Teacher Education offers post-baccalaureate and graduate programs to prepare teachers who are committed to improving school practices for California's diverse student populations and who can model such practices in their own classrooms.

The Teacher Education Department is proud to offer additional support to our candidates though generous contributions from former educators and our external partnerships. The department offers multiple scholarships through out the Fall, Winter and Spring terms.
The Teacher Education Department works in partnership with local educators, government agencies, businesses, and non-profit organizations to support the Bay Area community.
The Credential Student Service Center (CSSC) provides a range of services to those pursuing credentials, including: advising regarding credential requirements in all programs, housing of student records, monitoring, verifying and making the official recommendation of your credential to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).
