Graduate Scholarships for Study Abroad in Various Countries

Emerging Markets Development Advisors Program (EMDAP)

Funded by USAID, EMDAP grants give graduate business students the opportunity to provide management assistance to small and medium-sized enterprises in developing countries. Positions include financial planning and cost control, loan portfolio tracking and analysis, production efficiency and cost control, marketing and import/export, human resources development/management, information systems and database management. Placement: Countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, the Near East, and Central Asia.

Fulbright U.S. Student Program

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program, administered by the by the Institute of International Education (IIE) is designed to give recent B.S./B.A. graduates, master’s and doctoral candidates, and young professionals and artists opportunities for personal development and international experience. Most grantees plan their own programs. Projects may include university coursework, independent library or field research, classes in a music conservatory or art school, special projects in the social or life sciences, or a combination. Teaching Assistant grants also available.

Boren Fellowships

Boren Fellowships are funded by the National Security Education Program (NSEP), which focuses on geographic areas, languages, and fields of study deemed critical to U.S. national security.  Boren Fellowships provide funding for overseas study of less-commonly taught languages. In exchange for funding, Fellows must agree to the NSEP Service Requirement.

Rotary World Peace Scholarships

Administered by the Rotary Centers for International Studies offers individuals committed to peace and cooperation the opportunity to pursue a two-year master's-level degree in international studies, peace studies, and conflict resolution at one of the seven Rotary Centers (Universidad del Salvador, Argentina; University of Queensland, Australia; Sciences Po, France; University of Bradford, England; International Christian University, Japan; University of California, Berkeley, California; Duke University, North Carolina).
