Bachelors Plus Early Pathway Program
The Bachelors Plus Early Pathway: Multiple Subject Program (BPEP:MS formerly the Fast-Track or Blended Program) is a coordinated effort between the Liberal Studies Program and the Department of Teacher Education to assist students in simultaneously attaining both their Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. The program admits Liberal Studies students of junior standing in the fall quarter of each academic year. For the next two years (seven quarters including the summer), students take classes and progress as a cohort in the completion of all of their coursework and student-teaching placements. The BPEP-MS Program is available at both the Hayward and Concord campuses.
Students interested in joining the BPEP-MS Program must submit an application along with transcripts and two recommendation letters. In addition, due to the intensive nature of the program and the high course load that students will work with, we require students to complete a significant portion of the Liberal Studies coursework prior to admission; therefore meeting with a Liberal Studies advisor in your sophomore year to discuss your BPEP-MS application is highly recommended.
