• Practice in the use of nassan, saan, sino and ano. Diagnostic Exam.
• The main sentence structures in Filipino, affirmative and negative sentences, questions.
• The repeated use of hindi. The uses of may to denote possession and existence.
• Introduction to the use of wala for non-possession or non-existence.
• Review for Midterm. Sentence Structures, Grammar Exercise Use of Ligatures.
• Details on formation and usage of adjectives.
• The use of the affix taga and review of nasaan, nasa, and saan.
• Introduction to verbs, the um verb forms. Introduction to the inflection of the um verb group.
• Giving and following instructions and commands. Positive and negative commands.
• The use of huwag. Dates and events, days of the week, months of the year.
• The use of ano and kailan.. Introduction to the object focus verbs.
• Object focus sentence structure and use of non-subject marker pronouns.
• Terms and descriptions of ailments and sickness.
• Anatomical terms, describing pains and discomforts.
• Terms for family members, relationships of consanguinity and affinity.
