Concord Campus Commencement

This year the Concord Campus will host its commencement ceremony honoring students from the Concord Campus.

Commencement Ceremony

Undergraduate and graduate student Commencement Ceremonies will take place on the Concord Campus on Sunday, June 17, 2012 starting promptly at 9:00 a.m.. The ceremony will be located in the Boatwright Youth Sports Complex on the Concord Campus. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place as scheduled.

Attendance Requirements

Students who have filed for graduation and are eligible to attend the Concord Campus Commencement will receive an invitation from the President in early spring.

Undergraduate, graduate, and credential students who have taken any coursework at Concord are automatically eligible to participate in the Concord Campus Commencement and will receive an additional invitation from the Concord Campus Interim Executive Director.

Students may attend commencement ceremonies at either or both the Hayward and Concord campuses.

RSVPs

Students who wish to participate in the Concord Campus Commencement must reply with an RSVP online at MyCSUEB by selecting the Graduation Status/Commencement link. Each graduate is limited to three parking passes (required). The deadline to RSVP is June 7, 2012.

Commencement Attire

Caps and gowns are required for all students participating in the ceremony. The weather is often hot, so be prepared and bring drinking water. Bags, purses, and other items that you do not want to carry in the processional should be left in the a car or with relatives or friends.

Parking

Parking will be available in the student parking lot on the Concord campus. Each graduate is limited to three parking passes. Parking for people with disabilities will be available at the Boatwright Fields. Use the Ygnacio Valley Road entrance to access these parking lots. Shuttles from the parking lot to the field will be provided. Pine Hollow Road entrance will be closed the morning of the ceremony. Download a Parking Map for this event.

Accommodation for People with Disabilities

Students and/or guests with a valid DMV-issued Disabled Person Placard may park at the Boatwright Fields. Placard must be displayed at all times. Students and/or guests with disabilities who wish to arrange for accommodations should contact Jaski Kohli, the Concord Campus Accessibility Services Coordinator at jaski.kohli@csueastbay.edu.

Photography During Commencement

Graduating students will be individually photographed at the commencement ceremonies by a professional photographer. Ordering information will be mailed to each graduate from the photographer. Graduation portraits will be also be taken by a professional photographer at the Graduation Information Day, May 5 from 2 to 6 p.m. For more information, see the Pre-commencement web page.
