Professional Focus

I examine historical elements, types and motifs found in various early works of contemporary (post-Stonewall) gay literature like Andrew Holleran’s Dancer from the Dance and Larry Kramer’s Faggots, illustrate how they give subsequent generations of readers a historical sense of community, as well as argued how they translate into myths for those generations who use them as a basis for history, identity and fiction.
