Wendy Sarvasy received her Ph.D. from UCLA. Her areas of specialization include: the history of western political thought, women and politics, family policy, and welfare politics. She aims to make political theory relevant and even exciting.
She is currently writing a book that attempts to answer two questions:
- How does women's full inclusion into public life transform our notions of citizenship and democracy?
- Why does women's full citizenship require the development of a welfare state?
