Workshop: Using Blackboard to Manage Submission of Student Work (Assignments and Turnitin)

Description: This workshop covers two areas: 1) Blackboard's “Assignment” tool, which allows students to submit documents to instructors electronically and 2) Turnitin, which is a comprehensive plagiarism prevention system, lets you quickly and effectively check all of your students' work for any matching text in a fraction of the time necessary to scan a few suspect papers using a search engine. Turnitin searches of billions of pages from both current and archived instances of the internet, millions of student papers previously submitted to Turnitin, and commercial databases of journal articles and periodicals.
