Cal State East Bay hosts alumni events around the Bay Area and in other key U.S. locations to help alumni network with each other and to share news from the University. Meet Pioneer alumni in all kinds of careers who can help you think about your next steps. Or come to share advice with recent graduates, or to have fun with old friends and to make new contacts.

Volunteer shift at the San Francisco Food Bank - Monday, January 5, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Start the new year off be helping sort food for needy families in the greater Bay area with fellow CSUEB alumni! All are welcome, but space is limited. Register today by emailing email@example.com.
Networking 101: Beyond the Nametag with Bill Saleebey - Wednesday, January 21, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Wondering what networking really means (and where to start)? Join alum Bill Saleeby, author of "Connecting: Beyond the Name Tag", for a talk and networking session in the Pioneer TV Studio. Topics will include: creating a positive impression, the importance of listening, and key follow up steps. This special event is free to alumni and will include a light dinner, however space is limited and slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Alameda County Food Bank shift for volunteers - Saturday, January 24, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Did you know that 1 in 5 Alameda County residents - including children, seniors and entire families -- experience food insecurity? 10 volunteers are needed to help sort, screen, and box food during this weekend shift. Donated food is also welcomed! Please contact email@example.com to register.
Friday, February 6
12 noon-1:30 pm: Lunch in the Dining Commons
Join ASI officers and other student leaders for a buffet lunch and get a taste of life on campus, while enjoying the view over the Bay. Cost: $8 per person.
1:30-2:30 pm: Campus Tour beginning in front of the Dining Commons (led by student guides) OR tour of Library Special Collections
3:00-4:00 pm: Homecoming Parade
Wear your Pioneer gear (or red, black, and white) and join the parade to help alumni win the prize for best parade entry! Location for marchers: Meet at Parking Lot D. Rather watch? We’ll reserve seats for you in the grandstand area.
5:00-7:00 pm: Wine & Cheese in Pioneer Gym
Join us for a reception to reconnect and watch the women’s basketball game from the newly renovated second story room of the Pioneer Gym. A special welcome to Pioneer Athletics Alumni!
5:30 pm: Pioneers vs. Sonoma State Seawolves at the Pioneer Gym
Come join the alumni cheer section to root for our women’s and men’s basketball teams. Tickets are $5 to $8, pay at the door.

2:00-3:00 pm: Campus Tour beginning in front of the Pioneer Gym (led by student guides)
3:00-5:00 pm: CSU East Bay Pioneer Alumni Social at the Pioneer Bookstore
Cost: $10 Adults, $5 Alumni Association members and children ages 12 & under (includes free tickets to the Pioneer basketball games that evening). Enjoy delicious appetizers, music, cheerleaders, raffle, a photo booth, and free tickets to the basketball games. Kid activities include balloon animals, face painting, and basketball hoops. Wear your Cal State East Bay/Hayward/Alameda State College clothing or come dressed in red, black, and white! At 5 pm, we’ll walk to the gym to help cheer the Pioneers to victory over San Francisco State.
5:30 pm: Pioneers vs. SF State Gators
Free to alumni and guests who attend the Pioneer Alumni Social; otherwise tickets are $5 to $8, pay at the door. This is the annual battle against our cross-bay rivals. Come join the fun as we celebrate our student athletes and root for our teams.
Bookstore Discount: Alumni receive a 20% discount on Friday, February 6 and Saturday, February 7 at Pioneer Bookstore (show your CSUEB alumni membership card or this invitation!)
Pioneer Discovery Tours - Typically held on the last Friday of Every Month
A guided tour of the Hayward campus, refreshments, and a unique memento offered to Pioneer alumni and their family and friends. See the Pioneer Discovery Tours webpage for more information and to make reservations.

Hayward – Homecoming 2014 - Rise of the Red & Black, Friday, January 24 and Saturday, January 25
Alumni were welcomed back to campus with two days of activities including campus tours by student leaders, Friday lunch in the Dining Commons, the Greek Life barbecue, the Homecoming Parade, and the basketball games. Saturday’s Alumni Social featured delicious appetizers, music by the student duo Booker Long, a photo booth, activities for children, and a chance to meet two of this year's Alumni Scholarship recipients.

Each year the CSU hosts a system-wide alumni reception in New York for our Tri-State alumni.
