Captioning/Transcripts

This is  a service you will request when you  create a new course that incorporates multimedia materials with an audio component or you add a new multimedia component with audio to an existing course. Where it is not practical for you to caption your own materials, the MATS office will coordinate the creation of transcripts and captioning of your multimedia materials that have a sound component. This service is limited to instructional clients. Other clients will be referred to private sector service providers.

Note: All new media titles must be purchased with captions or with the rights to caption if a captioned copy is not available.  Instructional content is required to be captioned in order to comply with Section 508 of the Americans with Disabilities act.
