Pioneers Take 11th at Golfmart Lady Otter Invite

SEASIDE, Calif. - The Pioneer women's golf team wrapped up the 2009 fall season on Tuesday, finishing 11th at the Golfmart Lady Otter Invitational at Bayonet Golf Club. Cal State East Bay's Micalann Cowan paced the Pioneers, tying for 44th overall and shooting a 14-over 87 on both days of the tournament. Catrina Williams and Alicia Haness took 56th and 57th, respectively, to round out East Bay's top three.
Williams recorded the Pioneers' best round of the event on Tuesday, posting a 13-over-86 at the par-73 course. Andrea Reilly finished 60th with a two-day total of 200, while Katie Devine finished 62nd. As a team, the Pioneers shot a combined 749 (+165) during the event that saw clear skies but gusting winds. Cal Baptist claimed the tournament title with Adriana Niclotti and Nathalie Silva finishing 1-2 for the Lancers.
