Pioneers Finish Ninth at CCAA Championships

MCKINLEYVILLE, Calif. - The Pioneer women's cross country team placed ninth out of 12 teams in the CCAA Championships hosted by Humboldt State on October 24. Cal State East Bay finished with a team score of 257. KELLY GUERRERO placed 35th to lead all Pioneer women runners.
Guerrero covered the 6K course in 24:40.3. NANCY VELAZQUEZ finished in 40th place with a time of 24:51.0. CLARIVEL VEGA placed 58th (25:41.6), GABRIELLA CRUZ 61st (25:48.6), and KRISTIN PARKER 71st (25:59.0). MEGAN MCDANIEL and NASTASSIA HAMOR finished 79th and 80th respectively to round out the Pioneers performance in the CCAA Championships.
