Bachelor of Fine Arts candidates to show their work in winter show.

The work of 13 candidates for a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree will be on exhibit in the University Art Gallery on Cal State East Bay's Hayward Campus in early-winter.
The exhibition will open with a reception from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17. The pieces will be on view through Feb. 18. The the gallery is on the first floor of the Art & Education Building, 25800 Carlos Bee Blvd. Admission is free.
As of Jan. 18, gallery hours will be 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Wednesday and Saturday, and 2-4 p.m. Thursday.
Students showing artwork are: Laura Cline, Bethani Cochran, Adriana Gonzalez Farfan, Ray Hernandez, Kenneth Hung, Jacquelyn Mast, Patricia McCabe, A. W. Parker, Jena Scholten, Ali Sharifi, Alberto Symon, Enrique Tabares, and Michael Wallace.
“This year's BFA Exhibition includes an impressive array of artwork, including photorealist paintings to sculptures constructed out of packing tape," said Jill Ringler, art gallery curator/manager. "One of the highlights is Adrianna Gonzales's installation piece, 'Buenas Dias 99%' that involves an interactive tent with the song 'Brother, Can You Spare A Dime?' looping.”
Later in the winter quarter, the galley will host an “Emerging Arts Exhibition” of 2-D work by college students from throughout the Bay Area. The opening reception will be from 4-6 p.m. Saturday, March 10. The show will continue through April 14.
