Fall convocation for CSUEB employees Sept. 23

  • August 1, 2013

The fall convocation for all employees of California State University, East Bay will be held on Monday, Sept. 23 in the University Theatre on the Hayward campus. The event will feature an address by President Leroy M. Morishita at 9 a.m., preceded by refreshments beginning at 8:15 a.m. outdoors in the theatre courtyard.

Other speakers will include James Houpis, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs; Eileen Barrett, acting chair of the Academic Senate; and ASI President Michelle C. Xiong.

It is expected that many University offices will be closed during this time because all faculty and staff are encouraged to attend. Managers are urged to arrange for attendance by department staff members as long as operational needs can still be met.

Direct questions about the policy to Andre Johnson in Human Resources at andre.johnson@csueastbay.edu or (510) 885-2164. Faculty members may contact their department chairs.

For questions about the event, contact Ronn Patton in University Advancement at (510) 885-2717.
