Results are in for "Hits for Haiti"
- April 28, 2010 4:30pm
If you picked up a pledge card for the Pioneer baseball team's "Hits for Haiti" fundraiser, results are now available from the April 24 game. The Pioneers joined several other intercollegiate teams to support the SCORE International program to raise money for earthquake relief.
Supporters could pledge donations per hit, run, strikeout, 1-2-3 inning, double play or defensive assist. The Pioneers won the game against the Cal Poly Pomona Broncos, but lost the second game of the Saturday doubleheader. They split the four-game series.
Checks should be made out to "SCORE International" with a memo indicating "Hits for Haiti." Donations can be returned to the Pioneer baseball office through May 5; donations above the original pledge amount are also accepted.
