President Qayoumi to speak at Cisco Education Forum

  • April 22, 2010 5:00pm

President Mohammad H. Qayoumi will speak at the April 28th Online Cisco Virtual Forum for Education Leaders, The Connected Learning Society: Inspire, Engage, and Empower.

Qayoumi’s presentation, “Fusing Tradition and Transformation to Achieve a Learning Society” will examine how the fusion of rich higher education tradition with the transformative capabilities of information technology can unleash huge opportunities for creating a "learning pandemic" for thriving communities. He will speak during the “Higher Education Breakout Session” beginning at 9:00am PDT.

Cisco is hosting a virtual forum where school and higher education leaders will discuss the role that technology can play in creating a "learning society" to foster collaboration and communications -- and transform the learning experience.  The event starts with opening remarks via video from Chairman and CEO John Chambers and includes thought leaders from colleges, universities and K-12.

The education virtual forum will also be available on demand through August 2010.
