These shoes were made for walking

Strap on some comfy shoes and get ready to hit the pavement. Starting April 22, the new CSUEB Walking Group will take a stroll around the Hayward campus during the lunch hour each Thursday through June 3. The group is open to all students, faculty, and staff members. Weekly routes will range from about a half mile to 1.5 miles.

Sponsored by Student Health Services, the weekly walk promises to increase your activity, introduce you to new friends and help you enjoy the warming weather.

Meet promptly at noon at the main entrance to Student Health Services. Wear appropriate walking shoes and bring plenty of water. Here are a few details about each week’s route:

  • April 22, red trail, 1.52 miles
  • April 29, yellow trail, .85 miles
  • May 6, red trail
  • May 13, purple trail, .43 miles
  • May 20, red trail
  • May 27, yellow trail
  • June 3, red trail
