CSUEB Soberfest planned for May 11

CSUEB's 10th Annual Soberfest will be held May 11 to educate the campus community about the health, social, and legal impacts of alcohol and drug consumption and abuse.

"This year we are adopting a block party theme," said Elysse Grossi, Outreach Coordinator at CSUEB Student Health Services. "Participants will be providing the campus community with tips on how to 'party smart'."

The event is sponsored by the Associated Students, Inc., Athletics Department, The Community Policing Advisory Board, The Pioneer Bookstore, Student Housing & Residence Life, Student Life & Leadership Programs, University Police Department and Student Health and Counseling Services.

CSUEB departments are encouraged to participate and will be provided with an event booth (6ft. table and 2 chairs) to display materials and host interactive games or activities. Interested organizations should RSVP with Grossi by April 29.

Soberfest will take place in front of the Cal State East Bay University Union on May 11 from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
