While most people spent the Memorial Day holiday at picnics or parades, Forensic Science Club students at Cal State East Bay along with Professor Keith Inman and Homicide Detective Sergeant Mike Sobek, San Leandro police department, spent their time off creating and analyzing a mock homicide scene.

"The activity demonstrated the importance of having leaders in the Community assist in educating students who will one day be their future colleagues," wrote student Sara Mestas in the club's press release.  The Forensic Science Club was founded last year by eight students - Samantha Dunn, Mary Keehan, Grecia Frias, Adam Rowland, Jebel Iniquez, Felicia Lucero, Virginia Ly and Elizabeth Ortiz.
