Student, alumni, faculty create 'Dislocation Express' at multiple BART stations

A CSUEB student, alumni and faculty will take major roles in “The Dislocation Express” performances Sunday, July 24, Wednesday, July 27, Friday July 29, and Saturday, July 30.

Participants include Chris Gallegos, a junior in art; Dana DeGuzman, ‘11 music, Keith Penney; ’10 physics; Corissa Johnson, ’08 theatre and dance; Eric Kupers, assistant professor, and Kimiko Guthrie and Anne-Lise Reusswig, lecturers, all from theatre and dance.

Directed by Kupers, the AXIS Dance Company and Dandelion Dancetheater collaboration will perform Act I at 6 p.m. each day in front of the Ashby BART Station in Berkeley. Performers will then travel to a second BART station for an additional act. On July 24 and 29 the group will travel to the Walnut Creek BART station for Act II. On July 27 and 30 Act III will be performed at the Powell Street BART Station in San Francisco.

There will be no charge for the performance, but everyone riding BART to the second performance must buy their own ticket.

Performers will remain in character and costume on BART, but there will be no performing while in the paid areas of BART.
