In his San Jose Mercury News column, Mike Cassidy wrote, “John Herndon's class at Cal State East Bay could just as easily have been called Silicon Valley 101.”  He chronicled Herndon's innovative teaching approach in his piece titled, "Venture Capital course a real study in Silicon Valley."  Read article.

Now, Herndon has been recognized by the San Francisco Business Times in their “Bay Area People” section.  The acknowledgement notes,  “As a Lecturer at Cal State East Bay, Mr Herndon taught a Graduate Finance Course in Venture Capital Acquisition where his class developed: 1.) business plan & valuation; 2.) capital spend; & 3.) investor presentation package.” Read article.

When asked about his recent fame Herndon said, “I am the most fortunate man alive having realized three professional dreams come true in a single life time -university professor, consultant, CFO. They're listed in order of significance and the amount of absolute fun I have when in that role!”

No wonder, the Princeton Review has rated Cal State East Bay as one of the country's 300 "Best Business Schools" for five consecutive years!
