CSUEB holds 'Zumba for Wishes' on Dec. 8

  • December 6, 2012 5:00am

Pioneer Athletics has partnered with KO1 Fitness to host "Zumba for Wishes" on December 8, 2012 at 4pm at Cal State East Bay’s Pioneer gym.  All proceeds from the event will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Since 2009, the Pioneers Student Athlete Advisory Committee has raised over $10,000 for Wish, the nation’s largest wish granting organization giving hope strength and joy to children with life threatening medical conditions.

Fans of all fitness levels are invited to join Zumba Instructor Claudia Lira and the crew of KO1 Fitness including East Bay’s own Olympian, Dawn Ellerbe for the Zumba for Wishes Zumba-thon.  All fitness levels are welcome and will enjoy a fun filled work out. Zumba is a dance fitness program that incorporates soca, samba, salsa, hip hop and world beats into an easy to follow calorie burning work out.

The tickets for the event are $10 for general public and $5 for students.

CSUEB has a 24 hour parking pass policy; campus parking is $5 (cash.) For more information on the event please visit www.eastbaypioneers.com
