Derek Jackson Kimball co-edits newly published "Optical Magnetometry"

Physics Professor Derek Jackson Kimball has co-edited the academic book Optical Magnetometry. The Cambridge University Press has recently published Optical Magnetometry in the United Kingdom and Europe. 

“Optical Magnetometry refers to using light often, but not always, in the form of laser beams to probe the response of atoms to magnetic fields,” Kimball explained. He added that in the last decade, optical magnetometers have become the most sensitive devices for measuring magnetic fields and scientists have found more widespread applications for their use.
