Pioneer Chris Herzog selected one of top-12 golfers in west region

Pioneer senior Chris Herzog has been selected as one of the top-12 golfers in the West Region by the panel of coaches in the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).. This is the first time a Pioneer golfer has made the All-West Region team since CSUEB joined the CCAA.
Herzog is a CCAA All-Academic honoree and was Cal State East Bay's Male Athlete of the Year as a junior in 2011-12. This year, he was the Pioneers' recipient of the Dr. Hal Charnofsky award, conferred annually by the conference on one male and one female student-athlete from each school who demonstrates excellence in competition and in the classroom.
