Cal State East Bay alumnus Paul Rolleri ’85, criminal justice administration, has been named the interim chief of police for the City of Alameda. Rolleri has been with the Alameda Police Department since 1992 and primarily patrolled the west-end of Alameda when he was an officer. He rose through the ranks, working as a Field Training Officer and in the Investigations Division. He was promoted to sergeant in 2002, to lieutenant in 2009 and to captain in 2011. Rolleri assumed the top job on June 1, 2013.
