CSUEB's head men's basketball coach Gus Argenal has announced that former James Logan HS and Las Positas College star Jarred Jourdan has committed to Cal State East Bay for the 2013-14 season. The 6'5" Jourdan is a local product, having played his prep ball at James Logan High School in Union City, Calif.

"Jarred will add a tremendous scoring punch to our program," Argenal said. "We're really excited to have this local talent join our basketball family after starring at Las Positas College under legendary coach Tony Costello."

Jourdan led Las Positas to a 22-8 record and a postseason berth, and he was a California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) All-Coast Conference honoree. He was also a teammate of current Pioneer forward Ryan Hebebrand.
