Isaac Hayes to Headline 'Stone Soul Picnic' May 28

The Pioneer Amphitheatre at California State University, East Bay will kick off the summer music season at the Hayward campus with KBLX's 10th Annual Stone Soul Picnic on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28.

The lineup for the daylong music festival will include Issac Hayes,The Dells, The Whispers, and Tower of Power. Tickets are now on sale at Tickets.com and all Tickets.com retail outlets.

The Pioneer Amphitheatre at 25800 Carlos Bee Blvd. in Hayward has a capacity of more than 7,000 spectators and the Stone Soul Picnic is always sold out.

On Memorial Day the gates will open at 10 a.m. and the show will run from noon to about 6 p.m. Tickets are $81.50 for reserved seating and $56 for general admission. Seating for the disabled is available. The cost of parking is included in the ticket price.

Cal State East Bay has ample parking and service from the Hayward BART station by AC Transit Line 92. No picnic coolers will be permitted, but food and drink will be available in the outdoor amphitheatre.
