University Advancement reorganizes

Maryann Annunziata, currently director pf major gifts, will become executive director of individual giving. Susan Merrill, director of annual giving and special gifts, will join the new individual giving unit.
Barbara Hirst, associate director of development-major gifts, and Normie Pineda, manager, advancement events and donor relations, continue as members of the individual giving program staff. A new position of director of planned giving will be recruited.
Sandy Sanders, associate director of development-major gifts, will shift his focus from individuals to corporations and foundations. He will now report directly to the vice president.
University Advancement has begun a search for his replacement in the individual giving unit.
On Dec. 1, Audrey Wade Michaels will transfer from the President's Office to University Advancement where she will continue to provide administrative support for this program as well as for the major gift officers.
On Dec. 15, Ronna Taylor, currently executive assistant to the president, will join University Advancement as manager of operations and university protocol officer, reporting to Tom Froehlich, director of advancement services. Taylor will manage the fiscal and administrative support functions of University Advancement and the Cal State East Bay Educational Foundation, provide administrative assistance to the director of planned giving, and continue her support of President's Office events, assuring that appropriate protocols are observed for the university's most prominent visitors and ceremonies.
